Eddie Cahill & Nikki Uberti

It’s been a big year for actor Eddie Cahill (CSI: New York) and makeup artist/model Nikki Uberti. It started a year ago today when the longtime couple tied the knot at their home in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. According to celebritybrideguide.com, it was an intimate gathering. Instead of a gown and tux, the couple was more lowkey. Cahill dressed in a lightweight suit and his bride wore a beige suit.

After the ceremony, the couple continued the festivities with friends and family at the Zucca Ristorante in downtown L.A.

As if that event weren’t life-changing enough, the couple also welcomed their first child. In late December of 2009, Mrs. Cahill gave birth to a girl.

We hope the family is enjoying this first anniversary milestone together and send best wishes for many more to come!

Warren Harding & Florence Kling DeWolfe

Their story makes you wish William Shakespeare had been alive at the time to write.

The son of a poor doctor meets the daughter of the town’s wealthiest banker and they immediately fall in love. Did I mention that this poor doctor’s son is also a journalist whose worst enemy is the banker?

Well, that’s how the relationship of President Warren Harding and Florence Kling DeWolfe started. And that was just the beginning.

As their courtship progressed, Florence pressured Harding into proposing to her. When her father heard the news, he was furious. Florence’s father forbade her mother from attending and did not speak to his daughter or son-in-law for eight years.

The couple’s relationship appeared strong in the beginning. Mrs. Harding encouraged her husband’s political career and it’s been said that he would never have become president without her.

However, Harding had a political reputation for saying yes to everyone and that reputation followed him into the bedroom. Harding engaged in several extramarital affairs and had at least one with illegitimate child (with his wife’s best friend, no less!).

In 1923, a doctor saw that they were both under a lot of physical and mental stress and suggested that the two take a trip together.

They set off for Alaska. On the way, they stopped in San Francisco and Harding mysteriously died.

Among the theories surrounding the president’s passing is the idea that the first lady committed murder. Before his funeral, she destroyed several presidential documents and his love letters.

Was she protecting her husband or covering up for herself? The world will never know. Mrs. Florence Harding passed away a year later and is buried next to her husband in Marion, Ohio.

Eva Longoria & Tony Parker

One day after a Spurs Basketball game a beautiful woman and her father were invited to meet the team in the player’s press room. One of the handsome players, Tony Parker, was instantly enamored with the lovely lady and she in return was wooed by his sexy French accent. The woman was Eva Longoria, star of the television show Desperate Housewives, however this was not known by Tony who had never even seen an episode in his life!!!

This modest beginning soon turned into a high-profile Hollywood romance that would cause the tabloids to begin to wonder when the wedding would take place. Well, in November 2006, after two years of dating, Tony Parker proposed. The proposal apparently surprised Eva! Tony had just played a game of basketball and wasn’t even supposed to be in California and she had finished a long day of filming. He surprised her by showing up at her Los Angeles home and proposed to her on one knee!

On July 7, 2007, the two exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Paris, France. The next day the couple had a full Roman Catholic wedding with over 200 guests at the Church of Saint Germain l’Auxerrois. When asked why she chose to have a destination wedding Eva responded, “(we) wanted to create an experience for our family. For a lot of my family, it was their first time to France. Even doing the welcome dinner on a boat on the Seine, people told us, ‘I would have never done this in my entire life if you hadn’t done it for us.’”

Tony & Eva, your love for your family & for each other is inspiring! Congratulations on another successful year!
