Today in wedding history two very talented artists made their love official in the eyes of law. Of course we are talking about actress Maggie Gyllenhaal & actor Peter Sarsgaard.

The very private couple began dating in 2002 after meeting each other at a dinner party. After four years they got engaged and gave birth to their baby girl Ramona.

Their wedding took place in Italy at a bed & breakfast that used to be a convent. The elegant affair had only 40 guests that consisted of the couples closest family & friends, including her famous brother Jake Gyllenhaal.

Congratulations to Maggie & Peter on 8 years of being lovers and on their first year of marriage!
