Elizabeth Banks in Versace, Demi Moore in Atelier Versace
If you want to make a statement at your wedding, ruffles are the way to go. Elizabeth Banks and Demi Moore owned the red carpet in Versace. When I say owned, I mean dominated. These two were my Oscar 2010 favorites (along with Sandra Bullock) and I think ruffles had a lot to do with it.
Demi’s ruffles are silk organza while Elizabeth’s are tulle and either way it’s dramatic and makes sure that all eyes are kept on you. Make sure it’s tight on top to show off your hot bod and make sure the ruffles don’t start till your hips to avoid bulk.
Both stars kept their hair, makeup, and jewels super simple. With over-the-top dresses like that, there is no need for distractions. Remember on your wedding day, it is about you so if you make an intense statement with the gown, keep the rest low-key or you will get lost in the fuss.
