Twenty-eight years ago today, rocker Pat Benatar married her guitarist and producer, Neil Geraldo.

The romance started when Geraldo collaborated on her debut album “In the Heat of the Night” as a co-producer, songwriter and band member. He wrote a single from the album called “We Live for Love”, supposedly about Benatar.

Three years after that album was released, the couple married on a secluded beach in Maui, Hawaii. The ceremony was so private that the only guests were two strangers they saw walking by. Benatar and Geraldo asked them to be their witnesses.

Through the years, the couple have continued to write, record and perform together. all over the world. Their collaborations also include two daughters, Haley and Hana.

After 28 happy years, the couple show that they still “live for love.”
