Though we might remember Robert Stack as the hilarious pilot in Airplane or in other comedies from the ’80s and ’90s, this trained actor is also known for his more serious roles; such as Elliot Ness on the TV series The Untouchables and as the host of Unsolved Mysteries.

He wife, Rosemarie Stack, is also an actress and though she put her career aside to be his wife and mother of their children she continued to perform in smaller roles throughout the years, often in her husband’s films.

Robert proposed on January 8, 1956 during production of the film Written on the Wind and they married two weeks later. The couple were married nearly fifty years until his death in 2003.
